Our Beginning
From white collar 9-5 to self-employed maker.
After over 20 years working the traditional 9-5, answering to others and adhering to stressful deadlines I wanted something more in my life.
Like many, COVID lock down saw me working from home and having reduced hours, so I decided to take the opportunity to pursue my interest in 3D printing and started a new hobby, making toys for the kids and some car parts. Then I decided to challenge myself to make a full-size velociraptor skull in my garage.
I soon discovered the limitations of the technology I was using and worked to upgrade and develop ways to make my skulls look more realistic, modifying machines myself and working with manufactures to achieve a higher quality of realism.
Sharing my work online, I soon had requests from people to buy my skulls so decided to open an online store in 2022 under the name of Unique creations and lighting finding a growing audience as I added more to my store.
As my collection has grown, I have always kept a focus on green manufacturing, and the ability to offer my customers an ethical option for collecting animal skulls.
Given the focus on the replica skull and collectors market, in Mid 2023 I am proud to be launching PRIMAL REPLICAS as my brand.

David Attenborough
In May 2023, We had the privilege to send a collection of Australian Skulls to Sir David Attenborough including a Thylacleo skull.
Bringing back the past
One of our biggest achievements has been the re creation of the skull of a Thylacleo (Australian Lion)
After 12 months of collecting data, scans and information enough data was collected for my digital artist to be able to create the first complete model for production.
Museum work
Our largest undertaking so far has been a full sized spinosaurus skull for the Geraldton Museum, in Western Australia. At over 1.8m long this was an impressive piece.
Canadian Government Education work
As part of a conservation education program we manufactured 30 Black Bear skulls for the Canadian Government.
